Don't cut her hair!

With every unauthorized snip of the shears, Felicity star, Keri Russell saw her locks fall, along with the show's rating points. What she doesn't understand is that the viewing public has a general perception of beauty, and the loss of hair does not fit that image.

While hair may frame a face, even enhance it (Jennifer Aniston, Sarah Jessica Parker, Dyan Cannon - she will be buried with the same, decades-old big-hair), anytime a long, blonde mane is flipped in front of us, we only hope that the coinciding face is pleasant enough not to deflate our pavlovian erection.

Even though Peta Wilson exudes sexuality, as La Femme Nikita ought to (sorry Bridget/Gidget Fonda), her strong onsreen presence, and angular features, require unmistakably feminine (long, usually blonde) hair, otherwise she could be mistaken for a sensual, European man.
