While she has great breasts, a voluptuous figure does not make for a good "clothes hanger", though in light of the present state of plastics addicts, Ms. Bundchen may become the posterbabe for present day beaute'.
In the past, the healthy and robust model, i.e. Tatjana Patitz, Paulina Porizkova, Frederique VanDerWahl (aka Hoogstraten), was a fresh, though shallow, breath of air. These voluptuous, sun-kissed models could sell any neoprene or gold-flecked bikini, from Gucci to Gottex. Though, when it came to couture, Christy and Linda cleanded up the on Paris runways.
Back in the day when W editorialized on C.Z. Guest in Chanel and Deeda Blair in Blass, the clothes hanger (or Kate Moss), was the designers' muse. Now with media whores like Madonna and Courtney Love expouding on the fine tailoring of their Versace and Armani threads, the Beverly Hills plastic surgeon unwittingly becomes a force behind fashion trends.
Since plastic is permanent (even for Pam), I wouldn't count on a "Waif Revival" in the near future.
